Danielle at UK Grain Lab
Always up for a challenge - me tackling some Wakelyn’s YQ flour at UK Grain Lab

About Danielle

I teach breadmaking in Gloucestershire, South West England. I trained professionally in France in 2014 at Ecole Banette. Course participants were training to run their own bakeries. Unusually, the course was open to a wider population. I’ve written a number of posts about by 4 month’s training in France.

I love to share my tips and techniques to create great bread - every time. I bake in a Rofco oven run scheduled and private breadmaking classes from my home in Gloucestershire.

I ran Bread Chat - an online meet up with a wonderful group of women bakers where we helped answer bread related questions. Who knows, this may be revived!

I cook or bake everyday, garden as much as possible and am exploring sustainable floristry.

I’ve been writing a blog since 2010. First on the EdinburghFoody website, then on my own website Severnbites.com. There you’ll find many tips and techniques for breadmaking.

Judging

Having trained as a NFWI* Food judge, I often judge food. I have regularly judged in the World Bread Awards, the Grocer New Product Awards, Taste of the South West, International Cheese Awards (Cheese Board section) and am looking forward to judging in the Great Taste Awards.
